Purpose:
To seek approval, in accordance with Contract Standing Order 88 to the award of a contract for the provision of accommodation based support for five adults with a learning disability and or autism to Dimensions UK Ltd for a period of no longer than 18 months.
Decision:
To approve the award of a contract for the provision of accommodation based support for five adults with a learning disability and or autism to Dimensions UK Ltdfor a period of no longer than 18 months with a total contract value of £367,456.
Reasons for the decision:
To provide access to accommodation and support for adults with learning disabilities who have been assessed and are awaiting access to accommodation and support through the New Accommodation for Independent Living (NAIL) program.
Alternative options considered:
As a result of a waiver of Contract Standing Orders approved by the Lead Member for Adult Social Care on 10 January 2019, this decision involves the direct award of a contract. Whilst the final award differs in certain respects to the proposals contained in the report to the Lead Member these changes are not considered material to the original waiver sought given they involve a reduction in both the number of contracts and value of award.
