Purpose:
To request approval to invite tenders to take part in a mini-competition under the GLA LDP 2 framework.
Decision:
That the Operational Director for Regeneration, Growth and Employment:
i) Confirms there is sufficient budgetary provision for the contract.
ii) Approves inviting tenders in a mini-competition under the GLA LDP2 framework agreement for a developer on the basis of the pre-tender considerations.
iii) Approves Officers evaluating the tenders referred to in (ii) above on the basis of the evaluation criteria
Reasons for the decision:
i) The NWCC Site is a key part of the wider South Kilburn regeneration programme sitting within Phase 4.
ii) The Council wants to proceed with the comprehensive redevelopment of the NWCC site in order to deliver 219 high quality new homes of which 112 will be affordable for existing council tenants.
iii) The site will deliver new high quality homes for South Kilburn residents and an improved enhanced public realm as well as wider benefits.
