Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Wards affected: (All Wards);
Notice of proposed decision first published: 29/10/2020
This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.
Reason for urgency:
It was not possible to provide advance notice of this decision as confirmation was not received from the Youth Justice Board (YJB) that the grant agreement would be made until Friday 16th October 2020. The LB Brent bid had set out that services would start to be delivered during the month of October in line with the requirements set out by the funder. The YJB have stipulated that services should commence in line with the grant funding proposal. The grant includes a payment for work that needs to start immediately. This includes mapping work that will inform the rest of the project. Arrangements are in place to second a data analyst to this project and back-fill the post, which needs to take place as soon as possible. It is impractical to defer the decision as it would impact on the required outcomes of the project aimed at supporting children from BAME communities adversely affected by Covid-19.
