The recruitment of permanent Team Managers to front line teams in
Children’s Services is essential to ensure high quality and
safe services for children in need of protection and children who
are looked after by the Local Authority. A number of improvements
have been made to the terms and conditions of Team Managers and
more recently there has been a professional advertising campaign.
Despite this eight out of eleven key posts remain vacant and are
currently filled by agency team managers.
