This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
NRS was determined insolvent on 1 August 2025, subsequently leading to a contract termination on 16 September 2025. NRS were contracted to provide community equipment to Brent residents. Not having a service in place would impact Brent's statutory requirements. Community Equipment Service is a critical component of the health and social care system. The absence would result in the Council's inability to deliver statutory services and impact on those who require the service. The decision must take immediate effect to ensure the Council meets its statutory responsibilities under the Care Act 2014 and that people in the community and discharged from hospital can access community equipment.
