The opportunity to purchase Gloucester and Durham properties has come about quickly without the ability to factor in the Council’s longer goverence lead-in time-scales. The decision is therefore urgent and 28 clear days’ notice cannot be given but at least 5 clear days’ notice can.

As the decision is also likely to involve information within the report being classified as part exempt and it also has not been possible to provide notice of this, approval has been obtained (under the urgency provision) to enable the matter to be considered on this basis at the Cabinet meeting.
