Pension Board

Purpose of committee

The implementation of Pension Boards is part of a wider change in governance of pension nationally. In effect the Board can be considered to provide a scrutiny function to the work of the Council’s Pension Fund Sub-Committee. It does not have decision making powers but its purpose is to assist the Sub-Committee in carrying out its functions. Its remit therefore covers both pension administration and investment.
