Committee details

The Teachers JCC is an informal consultative body and has no decision making powers. It is not a formal or statutory committee of the council. The purpose of these meetings is to consult with teachers representatives across the education sector on issue such as pay, terms and conditions. Whilst meeting dates and agendas are published in the interests of transparency, the informal and confidential nature of the discussions require the committee to meet in private. No formal decisions are made at these meetings. If any decisions are required, they will be made in accordance with statutory rules and the Council’s normal decision making arrangements.
