Application by the Metropolitan Police for the review of the premises licence for 'Carlton Lounge' (232-234 Kingsbury Road, London, NW9 9UG) pursuant to the provisions of the Licensing Act 2003
Decision:
That the application by the Metropolitan Police to review the premises licence for ‘Carlton Lounge’ (232-234 Kingsbury Road, London, NW9 9UG) pursuant to the provisions of the Licensing Act 2003 be adjourned for a period of 12 weeks.
The Alcohol and Entertainment Licensing Sub-Committee (C) noted that the Metropolitan Police and the premises licence holder had indicated that they wished to adjourn the application for a period of 12 weeks in order for the premises licence holder to put in place and implement an effective action plan to improve the management of the premises, including staff training and improvements to the building. In view of the shared opinion between the two parties, the Sub-Committee felt that it was appropriate and reasonable to agree to the adjournment.
As an informative, the Sub-Committee requested that information be provided on progress on the action plan from the Metropolitan Police and the premises licence holder when the case is heard.
