Information about Service User Consultative Forum - Disability
The Disability Forum is an interactive meeting for residents where topics are discussed and ideas shared.
The Forum may be attended by anyone. It is primarily aimed at residents with a physical, developmental or a learning disability or those who in some way support or care for people with a disability. It is not a decision making forum and the areas discussed may or may not be disability related.
Meetings have a set agenda but the aim is for the forum to be interactive and informal; as many members use the forum to meet and socialise with other residents. The agenda of the forum is set by those who attend or as a result of the content of discussions at meetings.
The dates of the meetings are publicly advertised at locations agreed by the attendees and emailed to those who have provided contact details. Support will be provided on request for people who wish to attend who require aid.
Over the past two years the Disability Forum has held virtual meetings. It is hoped that we can return to in-person meetings when it is safe to do so.
If you have any items you want added to the agenda for a future meeting please email: brentdisabilityforum@brent.gov.uk
