Purpose:
To request authority to vary Tree maintenance contract and extend it for a period of two years.
Decision:
(1) To approve an extension to the current Contract for the maintenance of the street trees, trees in parks and trees in Housing with Gristwood and Toms Limited, for a period of two years from 1st April 2023 to 31st March 2025.
(2) To approve the variation of the contract to enable the transfer in-house of part of the Services, currently provided by Gristwood and Toms Limited, relating to surveying, database elements and raising of tree works orders, as detailed in Sections 3 and 4 of the accompanying report.
