Purpose:
To consider the outcome of the non-statutory
consultation in relation to moving all Brent parking Penalty Charge
Notices to the higher Band ‘A’ penalty rates and apply
to the Transport and Environment Committee of London Councils to
seek approval to implement the proposed change.
Decision:
That, following consultation with the Lead Member for Environment, the Strategic Directo Regeneration and Environment agrees:
i) To note the outccome of the non-statutory consultation on moving all Brent parking Penality Charge Notices to the higher Band ‘A’ penalty rates.
ii) Following consideration of the outcome of the aforementioned non-statutory consultation process, to apply to the Transport and Environment Committee of London Councils to seek approval to implement the proposed change to have a Borough wide Band ‘A’ level for parking Penalty Charge Notices in the Borough of Brent, and support any subsequent application for approval to the Mayor of London and Secretary of State for Transport.
iii) Subject to the approval process, to give effect to the proposed banding changes for parking Penalty Charge Notices in the Borough of Brent, including amending the relevant Traffic Management Orders.
