Purpose:
To award the contract for Integrated
Treatment, Recovery and Wellbeing Service
Decision:
In accordance with Contract Standing Order 88, a contract for the Integrated Treatment Recovery and Well Being Service be awarded to Westminster Drugs Project Ltd, for 4 years from 1st April 2018 to 31st March 2022, with an option to extend for a further 2 years up to 31st March 2024.
Reasons for the decision:
The Integrated Treatment, Recovery and Wellbeing Service was tendered using the Competitive Procedure with Negotiations. It is the opinion of the Director of Commercial and Procurement that the selected provider has demonstrated through their tender submission (s) the ability to deliver the services tendered.
It is expected that the cost of this contract will be funded from the public health budget.
Alternative options considered:
Total savings are estimated to be in the region of an average of 500k per annum, efficiencies can be found as a result of going for an Integrated Community Substance Misuse Contract and a lower ceiling price rather than retendering or extending for the 5 existing contracts.
