Purpose:
To request approval to enter into a funding agreement with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Sport England for the Swimming Pool Fund Phase II.

That the Corporate Director Community Health and Wellbeing:
i) Approves the Council entering into a funding agreement with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Sport England for the Swimming Pool Support Fund Phase II in the sum of £271,011.00.
Reasons for the decision:
The Council has been successful in its application to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and Sport England for the Swimming Pool Support Fund Phase II at Willesden Sports Centre. In order to receive grant funding, the Council is required to enter into a funding agreement.
Alternative options considered:
Officers have considered whether the energy efficiency measures to the Sports Centre can be achieved using the Council’s own resources but have concluded that without such additional grant funding it would not be possible. Officers are not aware of any other suitable sources of funding that would enable the Council to achieve the intended reduction in energy consumption at the sports facility.

None.
