To request authority to vary the contract for the Multi-disciplinary Architecturally Led Design Team Contract.
Decision:
That the Director of Property & Assets:
i) Approves a variation to the Contract with Ridge & Partners LLP for the Multidisciplinary Architecturally Led Design Team contract for the new Bridge Park development project.
Reasons for the decision:
Since the beginning of the project, additional
consultancy services have been identified that were not part of the
scope of services issued at tender stage that require
commissioning. To this end, Officers are seeking approval to vary
the contract to commission these services as part of this
project
Alternative options considered:
An alternative option would be for the Council to issue individual tenders for each of the additional services. This was discounted owning to the time and resources it would take to complete this when Ridge & Partners are able to invite fee proposals from an established supply chain.
