Purpose:
This decision concerns the procurement of new Cashless Parking Services (pay by phone and permits), collectively referred to as “the Contract” and seeks authority to award the Contract as required by Contract Standing Order 88.
Decision:
(1) To note the Contract Standing Order 89 considerations relating to the proposed award of contract.
(2) To approve the award of the contract for Cashless Parking Services (pay by phone and permits) to RingGo Ltd for the duration of four (4) years in the sum of approximately £120.00 .
Reasons for the decision:
The council requires the provision of Cashless Parking Services (pay by phone and permits). Officers have undertaken a procurement exercise and identified RingGo Ltd (“RingGo”) as the contractor providing the most economically advantageous offer. Officers therefore recommend award of the contract to the named contractor.
Alternative options considered:
Officers have considered whether the provision of new Cashless Parking Services (pay by phone and permits) can be provided by the council itself but have concluded that this requires specialist IT systems and software and is best provided by a specialist company.
