Purpose:
To agree to participate in a collaborative procurement of a new LBLA Barrister Framework to access the services of barristers across a range of specialisms
Decision:
1. Approve participation in a collaborative procurement led by the City of London Corporation on behalf of the London Borough Legal Alliance for the establishment of a framework for provision of barristers services.
2. Notes that the Deputy Leader of the Council, having consulted with the Leader, has agreed to waive the normal requirements of Contract Standing Orders and Financial Regulations in accordance with paragraph 13 of Part 3 of the Constitution for good operational and/or financial reasons in accordance with Contract Standing Order 84(a).
3. Agrees that the City of London Corporation determines pre-tender considerations following consultation with the London Borough Legal Alliance and thereafter procures the barristers’ framework in accordance with the requirements of its own Contract Standing Orders and Financial Regulations
