Decision details

To approve the selection criteria for the procurement of carers services in a hub model, which could be either an organisation, partnership or consortium, to provide a central point for coordinating and/or delivering a wide range of services.  The hub will aim to ensure that carers wherever they enter the system (social services, GP, voluntary organisation) can be connected into the hub and get quick access to other services in a consistent and seamless way.

(i)         that approval be given to the pre-tender considerations and the criteria to be used to evaluate tenders as set out in paragraph 5.1 of the report from the Director of Adult Social Services;

(ii)        that approval be given to the invite of tenders and their evaluation in accordance with the approved evaluation criteria referred to in (i) above.

(iii)       that approval be given to a ten week extension to the existing carers contracts detailed at Appendix D until the 15February 2013 for the reasons set out in paragraph 5.3 of the report.
