Purpose:
The Executive are requested to approve the
award of the specialist CAHMS contract for 2011-13 to a named
provider. This is a one year contract beginning 1 April 2011 with a
clause for a further one year extension until 31 March
2013.
Decision:
(i) that approval be given to an exemption from the usual tendering requirements of Contract Standing Orders in relation to the joint Council and NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, on the basis that there are good operational reasons for doing so as set out in section 3 of the report from the Director of Children and Families;
(ii) that approval be given to award a contract jointly with NHS Brent for the joint Council and NHS provision of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to the current provider, Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, for the period 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2012 with an option to extend the contract for a further one year until 31 March 2013, which would be utilised, should timescales indicate the need for a further extension to be implemented.
