Purpose:

Data & Voice Link Contract
The Lewisham contract for the provision of all voice and data links ends in April 2017. At the same time the majority of Brent links are out of contract, giving us the opportunity to jointly procure a single contract to meet all the connectivity requirements for both councils.

To meet the above deadline without any risk of interruption in service the tender process needs to begin now. Therefore Cabinet are asked to approve the delegation of award of this contract to the Director of Resources.

Decision:

RESOLVED:-

 

      i.        Cabinet noted the procurement of a contract for the installation and maintenance of data links using a mini tender process under Crown Commercial Services Framework RM1045 on the basis of the criteria set out in paragraph 3.8 of the report.

    ii.        That Cabinet delegated authority to award a contract for the installation and maintenance of data links to the Strategic Director of Resources in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Resources for the reasons detailed in paragraph 3.9 of the report.
