This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.
Reason for urgency:
Due to the urgent nature of the evacuation and UK relocation programme involving Afghan families there has been an urgent need to apply for grant funding under the Resettlement Scheme in order to support families being relocated in Brent. Given the overall level of funding, advance notice would usually need to have been provided on the Forward Plan but this has been waived on this ocassion due to the speed at which funding has needed to be applied for as a result of families being placed in the borough. There is also a need to immediately implement the decision which has required a waiver of call-in to enable the decision to enter into the grant agreement with the Home Office and allocate the funding received to be implemented without delay in order to support the relocated families settle as quickly as possible.
