Repave Shaftesbury Avenue in Brent

We the undersigned petition the council to urgently repave the pavements along Shaftesbury Avenue. The residents, workers, and visitors of Brent feel the uneven, cracked pavements pose safety risks, especially for children from the nearby primary and senior schools, as well as elderly residents and parents with prams. Repaving will reduce accidents and ensure safe access for everyone in our community.

Shaftesbury Avenue is a key pedestrian route connecting Preston Road to Kenton Road, providing access to important local amenities, including the Preston Road Underground Station and nearby primary and senior schools. The current condition of the pavements, with cracks and uneven surfaces, creates a hazardous environment for pedestrians, particularly school children, elderly residents, and parents with prams. These issues affect daily commutes, school runs, and access to public transport, putting the safety of the community at risk. Repaving the pavements will not only enhance safety but also improve accessibility and the overall quality of life for all who use this essential route.
