Installation of divisive political plaque in Gladstone Park

We the undersigned petition the council to Remove an inflammatory political plaque, which was installed in Gladstone Park without consulting the local community, including the Friends of Gladstone Park.

The plaque refers to the "Nakba", a term used by those who believe the creation of the State of Israel was a "catastrophe" that should never have happened. This is not the policy of any of the three major parties in the UK, including Labour. The plaque was installed by Ken Livingstone and Asa Winstanley, both of whom quit the Labour Party rather than face investigations into alleged antisemitic abuse. The park is a public space for the whole community, not the personal billboard of a few disgraced ex-Labour members promoting their inflammatory and divisive political views.
