CPZ (Controlled Parking Zone)/ subsidised Residents' Parking Permit scheme Melbury Road, HA3 and surrounding
We the undersigned petition the council to Provide Melbury Road and its surrounding roads with Controlled Parking Zone / subsidised Residents' Parking Permit scheme Melbury Road, HA3 and surrounding roads to make the area safer
Myself and my neighbours live in Melbury Road, Kenton, are constantly having difficulty in parking our cars when we return home. We understand that residents living in Dorchester Road and some surrounding roads are also having similar problems. This is because residents from the flats on The Mall, Students from JFS school, shoppers in Kingsbury and some commuters are constantly using our roads as a free car park. Sometimes there are vans parked for months on end. We would like to introduce a Residents Parking scheme. Such a scheme, known as a CPZ (Controlled Parking Zone)/ subsidised Residents' Parking Permit scheme will stop this. It means that if you don’t have a drive, you can park outside or near your property, your visitors will be able to park near you, and you won't always have your view obscured as you exit your drive. I therefore urge you to sign the e petition to Brent Council. As an added bonus, it will also allow the ambulances to travel freely along Melbury Road which could mean the difference between life and death. I am running a paper petition alongside this e petition.
