Community hub - Demand a Permanent Public Library Branch, Multi-Faith Centre, Outdoor Gym, and Civic Hub for Beresford Avenue / Heather Park (HA0)
We the undersigned petition the council to immediately allocate Section 106 and Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) developer funds to build and staff a multi-purpose civic infrastructure complex in the HA0 area. This complex must include a full Public Library Branch, a dedicated Multi-Faith Space, an NHS GP Health Centre, indoor youth facilities, and a comprehensive outdoor gym.
The massive high-density residential developments along Beresford
Avenue have generated millions of pounds in infrastructure levies
for Brent Council, yet the area has been left completely devoid of
public services. Forcing thousands of diverse new residents into
isolated flat blocks with no local library, no place for
multi-faith prayer and reflection, and no outdoor gym is completely
unacceptable.
We demand that Brent Council stops diverting developer funds
away from our neighbourhood and builds the vital civic, spiritual,
and health infrastructure our community needs.
