Create a New Children’s Play Area at North Wembley Sports Ground

We the undersigned petition the council to We, the undersigned residents, parents and members of the local community, respectfully ask Brent Council to consider creating a dedicated, safe and inclusive children’s play area at North Wembley Sports Ground, Sudbury Avenue, Wembley, HA0 3AW.

North Wembley Sports Ground is an important open space for our local community. We believe the addition of a well-designed children's playground would make the space even more valuable to families living in North Wembley, Sudbury and surrounding neighbourhoods.

We would like Brent Council to consider providing a play area suitable for toddlers, younger children and primary-school-aged children, with safe, modern and inclusive equipment that enables children of different abilities to play together.

A dedicated children's play area could:

Encourage children to spend more time outdoors and be physically active.
Provide a safe and welcoming environment for local children to play.
Give parents and carers a convenient recreational facility within their local community.
Make better use of this valuable community open space for families.
Provide opportunities for children and families from different backgrounds to meet and socialise.
Complement the existing sporting and recreational use of the grounds.
