Cavendish Road Pavement Resurfacing
The pavements have significant defects and in places are buckled
and jagged causing multiple trip hazards which make the walkway
unsafe, particularly for elderly and disabled residents and young
children. Several residents have suffered injuries tripping on
defects on the pavements. The road is also in desperate need of
resurfacing with many potholes, defects to speed humps and many
uneven stretches. Injection patching is not a solution.
As Cavendish Road is a conservation area, we support the relaying
of slabs for pavements, and are against their replacement with
climate-costly, unsightly asphalt.
