We the undersigned petition the council to Increase CPZ Hours, Remove Shared use Parking and Introduce One-Way system on Rosebank Avenue. Rosebank Avenue experiences ongoing traffic, noise, safety, and parking problems due to its current two-way layout, lack of passing points, and shared-use parking arrangements. Vehicles are frequently forced to reverse long distances or onto Greenford Road, leading to constant honking, shouting, speeding, and unsafe driving conditions. These issues cause significant disturbance to residents and create serious safety concerns. Shared-use parking between numbers 1 and 20 further restricts residents’ ability to park near their homes, often forcing them to park on nearby streets such as Fernbank Avenue and Maybank Avenue. This petition requests extended CPZ hours, removal or restriction of shared-use parking, and the introduction of a one-way system to improve safety, reduce noise, and restore fair parking access for residents. .

We ask Brent Council to take the following actions on Rosebank Avenue to improve safety, reduce noise disturbance, and address parking pressures for residents:

1. Increase Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) hours to Monday–Saturday, 8am–9pm, to prevent non-resident parking during evenings and improve parking availability for residents.

2. Remove shared-use parking between numbers 1 and 20 Rosebank Avenue, or alternatively reduce the maximum stay from four hours to one hour, so that parking is prioritised for local residents.

3. Introduce a one-way traffic system on Rosebank Avenue, potentially looping via Fernbank Avenue, to prevent vehicles from being forced to reverse long distances or onto Greenford Road.

4. Where a full one-way system is not feasible, consider alternative traffic management options, such as resident-only access or a timed two-way system.

These measures would improve road safety, reduce congestion and noise, discourage speeding, and ensure fair and reasonable parking access for residents.
