We the undersigned petition the council to We the undersigned petition the council to introduce Controlled Parking Zone on Byron Road and Peel Road to address ongoing parking issues. As concerned residents of Byron Road and Peel Road we are petitioning for parking controls to address persistent parking issues affecting our community, primarily caused by the garage located on Peel Road and the absence of any parking restrictions in the area.

The garage on Peel Road routinely occupies a significant number of parking spaces on both Peel Road and Byron Road with vehicles that remain stationary for extended periods. These cars are often left unmoved for days or even weeks, which severely limits the availability of parking for local residents. The situation becomes even more problematic during event days, when non-residents take advantage of the free parking and occupy any available spaces on Byron Road. This influx of vehicles leaves residents with few, if any, parking options near their homes. Many of us are then forced to park elsewhere and, in some cases, incur fines due to lack of alternatives.

This will give residents priority for parking their vehicles, ensuring safety and consideration for everyone.
