Stop Metroline Using Liddell and Doyle Gardens as a shortcut for their empty Double Decker 28 buses
We the undersigned petition the council to to consider that the residents of Liddell Gardens and Doyle Gardens have been shaken by the decision of TfL and Metroline to use our roads as a shortcut for empty number 28 double-decker buses between Kensal Rise and Willesden Junction Bus Garage.
Operations begin at 4.30am and run until after 1am.
These out-of-service buses often exceed the speed limit along a road that is not designed to accommodate double-decker buses. The noise pollution is a constant stress that impairs our quality of life, while the ground-borne vibrations disrupt our much-needed sleep and cause damage to our property.
We are calling on Brent Council to intervene on our behalf, to lobby TfL and Metroline to consider alternative routes that use existing double-decker bus routes, for example All Souls Road, Harrow Road and/or Chamberlayne Road.
