i)               Notes that Brent Council, in association with with 6 other West London Alliance (WLA) boroughs, has been successful in an application for Connect to Work Grant Funding from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in the sum of £43.2m across the 7 WLA boroughs for the period April 2025 – March 2030.

 

ii)              Approves Brent Council entering into an agreement with the DWP to access the Connect to Work Grant Funding by signing the Side Letter set out in Appendix 1.

(1)       To approve the variation of the Framework Agreements for disabled facilities installation and repair works in council-owned residential properties between the Council and C & C Builders Limited and between the Council and Frederick George Mileham Limited as set out in paragraphs 3.1

 

(2)       To approve the extension of the framework agreements detailed in (1) above for a period of 12 months from 5 October 2025.

 

(3)       To approve an increase in the contract rates payable to each contractor during the extended period referred to at (2) above by a rate of 5%, thereby increasing the annual sum up to which each contractor is paid as a described in paragraph 3.5 and Schedule 1.

B.    The decision made on 16 May 2025 in relation to food vouchers for residents with children on free school meals confirmed the use of HSF funding for this only until 31 October 2025. Following a review, that the remaining HSF funding is utilised to continue to provide Food Vouchers up to and including the Easter Holidays of 2026.
