Our Response

Residents reported persistent street urination and street drinking outside Ladbrokes at 59 Craven Park Road (NW10), questioning why no Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) have been issued despite it being a long?standing hotspot.

Response from: Environmental Enforcement and ASB Team

Thank you for drawing our attention to the persistent location. We have schedule some multi agency operations to tackle this problem. This will involve enforcement of Street Drinking under the PSPO

Residents highlighted ongoing fly tipping across Harlesden and Stonebridge, especially on Longstone Avenue where builder’s waste is frequently dumped. They requested mobile CCTV or fixed cameras due to the lack of existing coverage.

Response from: ASB Localities Officer

We are aware of the situation at this location and will continue to monitor it.

At this stage, I would ask that all incidents continue to be reported via the FMSreporting system, as this allows us to accurately log reports, access exact locations, and deploy resources accordingly. Continued reporting also helps build a clear picture of repeat offending, which supports any further enforcement or control measures that may be required.

Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention.

Residents raised concerns about antisocial behaviour in residential stairwells on Longstone Avenue, including drug use, urination, intimidation, and littering.

Response from: ASB Localities Officer

Please kindly provide the address where the antisocial behaviour is taking place. We will liaise with the relevant statutory and non-statutory stakeholders to address the concerns raised. We would also encourage residents to report any suspicious activity to the police via 101.

Residents reported a major pothole at the entrance of Longstone Avenue, describing it as deep, prone to flooding, and repeatedly reported without resolution for years.

Residents expressed concerns at rarely seeing visible police patrols, saying a stronger uniformed presence would act as a deterrent and increase feelings of safety.

Response from: ASB Localities Officer

We would inform the A/Chief Inspector

Brent Neighbourhoods & Partnership about the uniformed presence in the connect area

Residents requested clarity on whether there are four or six new ASB/night patrol officers, and how these officers are deployed across Brent.

Response from: ASB Localities Officer

There are 4 ASB and Nuisance Patrol officers across the borough.

  • Monday – Thursday x 2 officers 5pm – 1am
  • Friday Sat & Sunday x 4 officers 5pm – 1am

Deployment is evidence based in line with reported incidents and hotspots areas.

Residents asked for full ASB data for 2025, not just top categories and enquired whether there is an app (or could be one created) to make reporting ASB easier in the moment.

Response from: ASB Localities Officer

We are not looking at developing an app at the moment; however, we would take this into account, and explore how beneficial is using an app to report ASB

Residents requested clarification on the operational hours of the ASB & Noise Patrol teams and whether NCIL funding is being used to support these services

Response from: ASB Localities Officer

Residents requested information on the date of the next Stonebridge Ward meeting.

Response from: ASB Localities Officer

Advised on the Connects meeting to contact their local Safer Neighbourhood Team and to subscribe to the police’s Met Engage where the information is provided for their local area.

Residents asked further questions about Safer Neighbourhood Team visibility and engagement in the area.

Response from: ASB Localities Officer

We would inform the A/Chief Inspector

Brent Neighbourhoods & Partnership about the Safer Neighbourhood Team visibility

We would also encourage residents to engage with their various ward panels which is a community-led meeting where residents and local stakeholders meet with their local police (Safer Neighbourhood Team) to discuss their concerns, set local policing priorities, and hold the police accountable for the delivery of the set priorities.  You can sign up to MetEngage https://www.metengage.co.uk/  so they can get update from their local police  on their activities in keeping  the ward safe.
