To Approve the Lease Agreement for the NAIL Programme
That the Chief Executive exercise her extreme urgency powers and authorise the Strategic Director Resources to enter into leases for a period of 3 years of 3 properties identified as suitable for accommodating very vulnerable people to increase provision under the New Accommodation Independent Living (NAIL) Programme.
There have been delays in securing the 3 properties under the NAIL Programme and urgent action is required to avoid losing these opportunities and starting the search process afresh. Without immediate action the challenging target of delivering the Nail target of 149 additional units will become considerably harder.
Approval to enter into the leases could be delayed to the next meeting of the Cabinet on 13th February 2017 but if this is done, the Council is likely to lose the opportunity to lease the 3 properties.
