This decision seeks authority to award a contract for the refurbishment of tennis courts at Gladstone Park.
Decision:
To approve the award of a contract for the refurbishment of 8 full-size and three junior tennis courts to ETC Sport Surfaces Limited, andthe installation of LED Floodlighting to Exclusive Leisure Limited.
Reasons for the decision:
To enable the refurbishment of existing provision and the introduction of floodlights to make Tennis an all-year sporting activity in the Borough following capital funding being identified to refurbish, resurface and improve the existing facilities to enhance tennis in the Borough.
Alternative options considered:
The tender has been run as an Open Procedure and is below the threshold for works under the EU Regulations. The recommended award of contract follows an evaluation of the bids received with the new contracts to be let using the JCT Design & Build form of contract for the duration of the work.
