Purpose:
To seek approval to undertake consultation on the Draft Statement of Licensing Policy and the proposed cumulative Impact Zones proposed for off-licenses.
Decision:
To note the draft Statement of Licensing
Policy, proposed Cumulative Impact Zones and approve the
consultation questionnaire and consultation process on the draft
Statement of Licensing Policy.
Reasons for the decision:
To enable public consultation to commence on
the Draft Statement of Licensing Policy and proposed cumulative
Impact Zones proposed for off-licenses. Before determining the
Policy, the Licensing Authority must consult the persons listed in
section 5(3) of the Licensing Act 2003. In accordance with good
practice, the Licensing Authority will, however, be consulting on a
wider basis.
Alternative options considered:
The Licensing Act 2003 states that the
Licensing Authority must consult with persons listed in the Act,
therefore no other alternative options have been
considered.
