Decision Maker: Strategic Director - Community Well-being
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
Decision:
a. authority is granted to invite tenders as
required by Contract Standing Orders 88 & 89 the following
supported living MH services under the Framework 4 in line with the
procurement timetable detailed in the decision report: 6 bed female
mental health service currently delivered from Property A, Essex
Road (24 hour); 8 bed male mental health service currently
delivered from Property B, Pound Lane (24 hour); and, 5 bed male
mental health service currently delivered from Property C, The Mall
(9am-5pm)
b. authority is granted to vary the contract for properties on
Essex Rd and The Mall by extending only the services provided under
the contract for these properties on Essex Road and The Mall for a
period of 4 months until 31st October 2019 so that the
re-procurement of 3 services can be done simultaneously.
Reasons for the decision:
It is proposed to extend two of the three
services detailed in the decision for a shorter period (4 months)
so that the service provision end dates are aligned. This will
permit the council to recommission the services at the same time,
and achieve greater efficiencies within the financial
year.
Alternative options considered:
N/A - the services need to be
recommissioned.
